Winter can be one of the most refreshing periods of the year for most people, but it can also be a harsh one for struggling animals.
Much of the time, strays would try to find a warm place to snuggle up and stay warm, but it’s not always easy, especially when they are in very populated areas.
There are not many options, so they have to do the best they can with what they have and it usually ends up being bad for them.
However, for the puppies we will talk about today, they were hiding behind a dumpster in freezing weather but were lucky enough to draw some attention to them.
They Were Freezing
It was a very normal day when a group of rescuers were notified about a couple of puppies hiding out behind a dumpster in the freezing cold and trying to survive.
They rushed as fast as they could to try and help them. Upon arrival, it was just shocking to find that they were barely surviving.
One of the rescuers noted that they were hypothermic and would not make it much longer, so they had to get them to a warm place fast.
They were rushed to a shelter, and something horrible happened on the way. One of the puppies didn’t make it.
He passed away due to hypothermia, and the rescuers were just heartbroken by this. However, they could not stop now.
There was still hope for the three puppies who were still there and needed immediate medical attention.
When they finally arrived, they warmed them up immediately and gave them some food and water.
It came as no surprise that they were extremely hungry as nobody really knows when they had their last meal.
Another Big Surprise
As time passed, they were getting stronger and recovering from the cold they were found in. They really were lucky to find them when they did.
One of the rescuers just couldn’t stop thinking about what happened to them, so she did a little digging and found that they were dumped there by their previous owner.
He didn’t care what would happen and just wanted to get rid of them, so he abandoned them next to a dumpster.
However, one interesting piece of information was also revealed to her at that moment. There were actually more puppies in that area, and they just had to find them.
After a thorough search, they found three more and managed to save them just in time. Now that they were all out of the woods, it was time for them to heal.
Some of the puppies were still traumatized from what had happened to them, but they were getting better in the care of their wonderful rescuers.
And, they also had each other for support. They would constantly play together, explore, and take long naps.
It was amazing to see just how much they changed after going through so much so early on in their life.
But, it was only going to get better. The rescuers had placed them on an adoption list so they could find a new family.
Luckily, it happened pretty fast, and they are all now living amazing lives in their forever homes. I am so happy it turned out so well for them.
