A Golden Retriever named Baylor spent his whole life dreaming of finding his happiness.
His owners neglected him and kept him locked up in an outside pen for eight years. He was exposed to all the elements, and his only shelter was a little doghouse.
Baylor lived a sad life deprived of the love his heart wished for.
The canine spent many nights lying on the ground and howling. He never stopped hoping that someone would hear him and rescue him from his careless owners.
Saving Baylor
Carlie Grisham, a dog lover, was spending some time at her parents’ home in Alabama.
One day, a woman from the neighborhood reached out to her.
She told Grisham a heartbreaking story about Baylor, her neighbor’s dog. The pup was a neglected Golden Retriever who was locked in his yard his entire life.
Feeling devastated, Grisham visited Baylor and peeked through the wooden fence. The doggo was lying on the ground. He looked extremely sad.
When Grisham called his name, the pup got up and approached the fence. He started sniffing and kissing her hands.
The giant-hearted woman was enchanted with him.
“Once I saw his sweet little white face, I promised him I wouldn’t stop until he was rescued,” Carlie wrote in an Instagram post.
That night, Carlie couldn’t sleep. She was thinking about Baylor.
The next day, Carlie visited Baylor again and gave him fresh water and some food.
She contacted the dog’s owners, asking them to surrender Baylor to her, and they agreed.
Carlie’s heart soared with happiness. She rushed to set Baylor free.
The pup was over the moon when he started running freely on the grass. He had a wide smile on his adorable face.
Fostering Baylor
Carlie covered him in cuddles, telling him that he was now safe. Baylor looked at his hero with love-filled eyes.
The dog rescuer brought him to her parents’ home to foster him. For the first time in his life, the doggo entered a house.
After his rescuer gave him a bath, Baylor couldn’t stop smiling. He believed that his dream of finding happiness would finally come true.
The next day, Carlie took Baylor to see the vet.
During their ride, the pup laid his head on Carlie’s shoulder. He trusted his foster mom, and he was deeply grateful to her.
Baylor captivated the hearts of the whole family, who showered him with love.
Despite everything he went through, Baylor was an extremely affectionate pup. He loved snuggling with Carlie and her family.
The years he spent locked up didn’t break his spirit. He was determined to enjoy life to the fullest.

The Delightful Canine Is Finally Home
Carlie fell in love with Baylor, and she wanted to give him a forever home, but she didn’t have room for a third dog.
She was thrilled when her parents decided to adopt Baylor.
They were looking for a companion for Hope, and Baylor was the perfect fit. The two canines have gotten along perfectly ever since they met.
Carlie believes that Baylor was always destined to become a part of the family.
“It was like he was our missing puzzle piece. He will never go one day without love,” Carlie added.
Baylor lives his best life. The pup is happy because he finally found the infinite love he always wished for.
